Prof. Vijaya Chalivendra received Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics from University of Rhode Island in 2003 and completed postdoctoral work at California Institute of Technology during 2003-2005. He later joined University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and currently serving as full Professor and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He published more than 75 peer-reviewed journal articles and currently serving as technical editor for “Experimental Mechanics” journal. He was recently elected to Fellow of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
