Dr. Sagynbek Orunbaev obtained his PhD degree in the Institute of Dynamics of Geosphere, Moscow, Russia. He graduated and participated in a several educational program: the Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego, USA; at the International Institute of Seismology and Earthquake Engineering, Japan International Cooperation Agency, International Center, Tsukuba, Japan; at the United Institutes of Geology, Geophysics and Mineralogy (UIGGM) Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Science (SB RAS), Novosibirsk, Russia and German Research Center GFZ, Potsdam, Germany.Most of graduations were in Earth science Remote sensing, seismology which are important for Central Asian natural risk and hazards assessmentand management.
