Sayed Hemeda is a Doctor of Civil Engineering Department (Geotechnical Division), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Currently he occupies the position of Professor (Full) of Geotechnical Engineering&Structuraland architectural Preservation of historic buildings and archaeological sites, Conservation Department in Cairo University, Egypt. Also he is the Manager of historic buildings Conservation Center in Cairo University.Advisor in the Tri state Groups (TSG)which is a consulting firm founded by group of high performed management and engineering consultants with extensive implementation-vased consulting experience. TSG has offices in Virginia, USA and Cairo, Egypt.

He awarded the general union of Arab archaeologist prize for the academic excellence, 2019. He awarded the Cairo University's prize of scientific excellence in 2017.Also he awarded the Cairo University's prize of encourage in 2014. Furthermore he was awarded the Cairo University's prize for the best PH.D Theses, 2009-2010. He has published some 66 articles, including 27 books, and has been cited around 80 times. He has given over 38 invited lectures in 18 countries.His interests are primarily in Geotechnical Engineering for architectural heritage preservation, also his interests are in Engineering data analysis, including pattern recognition as applied to primarily analytical data from various sources including objects of cultural significance.He is the Editor In Chief of Journal of Geological research. He is editorial board member of the journal of Open journal of Geology. He is Editorial Board Member of the Sustainable Civil Infrastructures, book series, published by Springer Nature. He is Editorial Board Member of the Intech Open England, book series publisher. He is Editorial Board Member of the Progress of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Singapore. He is Editorial Board Member of the Geoscience Journal in Singapore.He is Editorial Board Member of the Alexandria Engineering Journal.He is Editorial Board Member of the IIS innovative infrastructure solutions.Reviewer in the Heritage science international journal.
