Dr. Newaz Mohammed Bahadur is a Professor of the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Noakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. He received hid PhD from Utsunomiya University, Japan with Japanese Government Monbukagakusho Scholarship. He held several postdoctoral positions including VBL (Venture Business Laboratory) fellowship in Nanotechnology and Materials Science, Faculty of Engineering, Utsunomiya University, Japan and Follow up program by JASSO, Japan. His current researchencompasses a number of areas spanning Physical, Inorganic, Analytical, Environmental Chemistry, Material Sciences, SurfaceSciences, Semiconducting Interfaces, Quantum Dots, etc. In all the works, He focused on the synthesis and formation mechanisms of metal, magnetic and hybrid nanoparticles with controlled size and morphology; semiconductor, organic/inorganic microcapsules, the creation of novel core-shell nanocomposites (titania-metal-silica, metal oxide-metal oxide, metal-silica, semiconductor-silica, metal-metal, etc) including their surface functionalization; nanostructured thin films; and the optical characterization of nanocomposites. He received several grants/ awards such as Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST), UGC (University Grants Commission), Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), Bangladesh. He has more than 50 international publications in peer review high impact factor journals,and 2 book chapters. He is a potential reviewer of more than 20 peer review high impact factor journals and member of editorial board og different journals.
