Prof. Nabil Hailat, DVM, Ph.D, Professor of Pathology and Animal Health at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Jordan. He graduated from the faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Aristotelious, Thassaloniki, Greece in 1982 and got his Ph.D from Wayne State University, Michigan, USA in 1988. He then joined University of Michigan Ann Arbor, USA as a postdoctorate. He was appointed at Jordan University of Science and Technology as an Assistant Professor in 1990 and since then he is in the university conducting research, teaching and deliver national, regional and international consultations in the field of Animal Public Health.  He has published more than 70 scientific publications in refereed international Journals. He has received many national, regional and international awards. He has contributed to the Animal Health and Zoonotic- Transboundary Animal Diseases diagnostic capacities in the middle East and North Africa.  He was nominated to the presidency position of JUST twice (prime list).
