Leonid Vaisberg Abramovich is Doctor of Engineering, Professor, Department of Earth Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences. 

Leading researcher in the field of geological and engineering typification and low-waste development of deposits of natural building materials and bio mineral raw materials, mineral and technogenic raw materials processing, and process mineralogy, in particular, with the use of computer tomography. Author of new resource-saving technologies for low-water processing of various mineral raw materials in a combination of force fields. Specialist in the field of mining and processing engineering, theory, calculations, design, practical implementation and operation of vibrating machines and devices used in mining, construction, and processing of industrial and municipal waste.

Authored about 380 publications. These include 6 monographs, 3 textbooks, 80 patents and publications in scientific and technology periodicals.
