Esen Tasgin

Esen Taşgın (Associate Professor Dr.) was born in Erzurum, Turkey, completed her bachelor’s (1995) at Atatürk University in the Department of Chemistry and also completed her master (1998) andPhD (2004) from Atatürk University in science of biochemistry), Erzurum, Turkey. She worked as a research assistant at Atatürk University from 1998 to 2005. Dr. Taşgın has worked on the faculty staff as an assistant professor at Bayburt University, Bayburt, during 2005–2015, Turkey. Esen Taşgın has been working as an associate professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Atatürk University since 2016. She is also currently head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. Dr. Taşgın, after completing her PhD thesis at Ataturk University, she continued to work on enzymology. In her first studies, she worked on the biochemical properties of plant essential nutrients (wheat, spinach, etc.). Later on, she concentrated food chemistry, functional foods, nano biomolecules, antioxidative components and enzymes, common effects of food consumption. She has published her work in various international journals and presented her work at many international scientific conferences.
