Dr. Carrington is a full Professor of Hawaii Pacific University and was recently awarded the status of Professor Emeritus. 

Dr. Carrington graduated from Philippine Women's University, Manila with a BSN, received her MSN from the University of Portland, Oregon and is licensed as a Nurse Practitioner. Her MBA and MPA were awarded from City University. She completed her Doctorate in Education from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

In 2013, she was the inaugural Editor-in-Chief till present of the GSTF Journal of Nursing & Health Care headquarters in Singapore. She authored and published with Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. She has been a Keynote Speaker in other Conferences and has done numerous podium presentations of her research study on Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infection in the ICUs. She has written many grant proposals for volunteer community projects.

She is a member of numerous organizations notable of which is the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She has been a volunteer reviewer of NCLEX to Filipino RNs who desire to become licensed in the US.
