Prof. Dr. Coskun SARI was born in 1957,in Izmir, Turkey.He is Professor of “Applied Geophysics”and“Solid Earth Physics” at graduate and postgraduate level. He studied in the “Ege University of Izmir”. He received his B.Sc. degree from Ege University in 1980 and his M.Sc. degree from Dokuz Eylu lUniversity in 1984,and his Ph.D. degree from Dokuz Eylul University in 1991. He speaks English and German, additionally to his mother tongue Turkish.

He is a member of Chamber of Geophysical Engineers of Turkey (CGET) and Balkan Geophysical Society (BGS). He has served in many national and international congresses and symposiums as an organization and scientific committee member and the chairman of the session. He has also presented many papers.

His research concerns “data processing, evaluation and interpretation of potential field data”, “forward and inverse modeling”, “geothermal geophysics” and “engineering and environmental geophysics”
